Pinterest Video Downloader
Drop a Pinterest video link in the box, check the preview, and save the clip in its original quality — no account, no app install.
How it works
- Open the pin, tap Share, then Copy link. Short pin.it links work too — the tool follows them to the real pin before it does anything else.
- Paste the link in the box above and press Download. The preview loads in two phases: first the thumbnail, title and available formats in under a second, then the file sizes once they are measured.
- Pick a quality and save. On an iPhone, the file lands in Files under Downloads, from where you can move it to Photos. On Android and desktop, it goes straight to your usual downloads folder.

What you actually get
The video comes down in its original quality whenever the source offers it, with sound included when the clip has sound. Animated GIF pins work through the same box and save as GIF files. You do not get a watermark, and you do not get a shortened or re-encoded copy dressed up as the original. What the preview shows is what you download, and the file size shown in phase two is there so a big clip never surprises your data plan.
A small number of Idea Pins are delivered by Pinterest as streamed pieces (HLS/.m3u8) rather than one file. In that case the preview shows the HLS stream link and the cover photo, and does not pretend it is an MP4. See the Idea Pin problem page for the full explanation.
When something does not work
Most failures have boring causes. A link copied from a private board will not open, because the tool can only read public pins. A pin the creator deleted shows as not found. A link pasted with extra text around it — a caption, a hashtag, a stray space — fails until you paste the clean link alone. If the preview loads but no download button appears, the pin is usually a shopping or article pin with no video attached, and the image downloader is the right place for it instead.
One honest limit: GoPinSave saves public pins for your own personal use. Please respect the creator’s rights — do not re-upload someone else’s work as your own.
Reddit, Threads and board downloads are coming soon — this page only handles single Pinterest pins for now.
Frequently asked questions
How do I download a Pinterest video?
Copy the link from the pin, paste it into the box on this page, and press Download. The preview shows the video’s thumbnail, title, and available qualities, and then you pick one and save it to your device. If the pin is public, the download starts right from the preview card.
Do I need a Pinterest account to save a video?
No, you do not need a Pinterest account, and GoPinSave never asks for your login. The tool only reads the public pin you link to, so it works for anyone with the link in hand. That also means it cannot open anything from a private board or a protected account, because those pins are not public.
Will the video keep its original quality and sound?
Yes, when the source provides it, the download keeps the original quality and includes sound if the clip has sound. GoPinSave does not re-encode the video or stamp a watermark on it, so the file you save matches what the creator uploaded.
Why does my pin.it link matter, and does it work here?
A pin.it link is just Pinterest’s short version of a pin link, and it works here because the tool resolves it to the original pin first. If your link starts with pin.it, paste it exactly as copied and the preview will still load the right video.
What if the video is an Idea Pin or plays in pieces?
Some Idea Pins arrive as streamed pieces (HLS/.m3u8) instead of one file. The preview shows the HLS stream link and the cover photo, and tells you plainly that it is not a direct MP4 — it never hands you a broken file disguised as one.
Is GoPinSave affiliated with Pinterest?
No, GoPinSave is not affiliated with Pinterest, Reddit, or Meta, and it is not an official Pinterest product. It is an independent tool that reads public pins you link to and saves them for personal use. Please respect the creator’s rights and only save public content for yourself, never re-upload someone else’s work as your own.
