How to Download Pinterest Video on Android

Android makes this easy: the file downloads straight to your device and shows up in your gallery. Copy the link in Pinterest, paste it here, and save — no app install, no login.

Steps

  1. In the Pinterest app, open the video pin, tap Share, then Copy link. Short pin.it links work too.
  2. Open your browser and go to GoPinSave. Paste the link in the box on the Pinterest Video Downloader page and press Download.
  3. Check the preview, pick a quality, and tap the download button. The file saves to your Downloads folder.
  4. Open your gallery or file manager to find the video. Move it to any album you like.

Android vs iPhone differences

Unlike iPhone, Android does not trap you in a player: the download button saves the file directly, and most gallery apps pick it up without a manual move to Photos. If your browser asks where to save, choose Downloads so the video is easy to find later. If the download seems to stall, check that the browser has storage permission — that is the usual cause on Android, not the pin itself.

If it still fails

Private-board links cannot be read, and deleted pins show as not found. A board link pasted by mistake also fails — open one video first. For Idea Pins that only show a photo, read the Idea Pin problem page.

Frequently asked questions

Where does the video go on Android?

To your Downloads folder, and most gallery apps show it right away. You can move it to any album from your file manager.

Do I need a Pinterest account?

No. Only the public link of the pin is needed. Private pins cannot be downloaded.

Why is the download slow?

Large original-quality videos take longer on slow connections. The preview shows the file size first, so you can choose a smaller quality when one is offered.
